Garden Tips:

  • Some of your plants may have some disease or pest problems that you may need to take care of. Fungal problems  can appear as white powdery areas on leaves.  Make sure you are watering your plants appropriately and  avoid getting your leaves wet. If you apply a fungicide or a summer oil on the leaves its best to do so in the evening when it is cooler.
  • Got Bug Problems?  Try Take Down to battle your pest problems.  It’s made from plants for plants.  For more info visit:

Can be used on edible plants!

Feeding Your Pond Fish Fresh Food

You can feed your fish fresh foods that help supplement their diets and gives them something to play with.  Gradually add pieces of fruits and veggies and even cooked shrimp until they start to regularly eat what you serve.  Scoop out any uneaten food. Here are some suggestions:

  • Citrus Fruits- Oranges, Lemons, Grapefuit
  • Squashes, Zuchini, Strawberries
  • Boiled & frozen Peas or Peas & Carrots
  • Carrot raw sliced in long strips
  • Shrimp (cooked & thawed)
  • Melons- Watermelon, Cantelope, Honey Dew
  • Greens- Mustard, Beet Tops, Spinach, Endive, Escarole, Arugula, All Lettuces

Cut up fruit into slices, remove uneaten rinds and watch your fish have some fun playing with their food!  Questions: Email at
